Webkinz

Webkinz are stuffed animals that come with a login for a website, www.webkinz.com, where they are a virtual pet. When you receive a Webkin, you adopt it by logging in. From there, you decorate its living area and care for it by feeding, bathing and giving them lots of loving. It’s an excellent way for kids to learn basic concepts of economy, dependent care and goal setting.
This stuffed animal collection is one of the best ways for geeks to spend time with their kids. A few months ago, a co-worker gave me a Webkin for my daughter to have. It’s a pink pony that Jasmine quickly named Webbie. Since then, we have spent lots of time together playing with Webbie and her new little friends.
So, I decided to create www.mywebkinzgallery.com to showcase the things that we do together and to practice optimization for a popular keyword, specifically webkinz. This site features some screenshots of our little Webbie as well as Emily and Mark playing and gardening and cooking recipes. Webkinz recipes are a fun way to learn how to combine foods to make meals for your pets. We make them and then I create a webkinz screenshot and upload it to the site to show it off.
Be sure to check it out and defintely check out Webkinz if you have kids….
StyleShout and SEOBilgi

It’s only right that my first post about web design is one about the designer of this theme. I have not taken the time to learn how to develop a Wordpress Theme, so I rely on awesome people like the Styleshout.com owner and SEOBilgi.
The Style Shout site is awesome! It is designed very well and is an excellent resource for css templates, wordpress themes and web design resources.
SEOBilgi seems to be the php guru that pimps out the Style Shout themes for people like me to use. If I ever turn a profit on a site, I will definitely be donating to these two…

Not that I had a crazy following or anything, but I’m back in action. DanDenney.com went down from a blog setup through 1&1 hosting. I like 1&1 and this is still hosted with them. For some reason, though, if you set up a blog using their control panel, you can’t edit your site AT ALL. So, no custom themes, no uploading, nada. Oh well. I needed to get rid of motifwebdesign.com anyways.
My freelance career is over. (Woohoo!) I enjoy creating and coding, but I don’t enjoy selling. Plus, I’m horrible at it. Thankfully, the wonderful people at Digital Eel have given me a chance to break into the web design industry. I love the way that they do business and I am extremely thankful for this opportunity.
So now I have two full-time jobs. Sounds crazy, but it’s really not bad at all. Things worked out perfectly for the scheduling between the two and to allow for my nights with Jasmine! Plus, both jobs are things that I greatly enjoy and I have great bosses. It’s not even like working (most of the time).
Anyways, this is going to be my outlet for all things internet related. I am an internet geek and I want to share the great things that I stumble across……
